Church problems in Morocco

As a Christian Moroccan i saw a lot of problems in churches here, they are many deny this problems some admit them, my purpose to talk about this problems that people can pray for us, and it is easy to know they are problems, just if you see the number of real Christians in Morocco, some media talk about thousands of Moroccans become Christians, some say 40 thousands some say 2o thousands, and that is not true none can know the real numbers, and if you look at Churches in morocco in biggest cities you will find that the number is not bigger than hundred believers, and they are many Moroccan came to church and leave, they are many decided to be away from churches and the question here is why ?
As i said they are many problems, so i will try to mention some and i wish God help to not say something wrong, so i will start with the big problem is the unity, the unity between missionaries and unity between local believers, and the unity between missionaries and Moroccans, Missionaries here come from different churches from different organization, every organization has a away to work differently, this cause a problem of confusing for local believers because they do not know with whom they relay,The International church where the Missionaries meet for fellowship it is also not build as churches in NT , maybe it is but as a Moroccan i can not see deacons, pastors, elders... The NT teach that the church is in order that God give some people positions according to gifts, we can not see this things, maybe it is and they do not show us this because we are not part of that church, it is a foreigner church, and the question here why Missionaries need to be in foreigner church and they can not be with Moroccans, i know they can use language as an excuses, but God give gift of translation, or why it is that gift mentioned in the Bible ? the other excuse security they are house churches that are secure, and they existed longtime and they have no problems. the other excuse the culture and this confuse me a lot, because i see that the Bible Has own culture that Jesus taught to people, Jesus want us to be united and to be as a family, and if you look to churches in Morocco hard to find believers live as a family, we are so different, Missionaries bring with them their cultures more than they bring Christ in them, even the lost look at them as westerners not as a real Christians, and also Moroccan Christians they see a lot of western culture not Christian behaviors at church, and this cause some to insult us and talk bad about Moroccans and they generalize all Moroccans, this why we find not trust between Moroccans and foreigners at churches, Missionaries talk about Moroccans do this and do that, and they forget that Missionaries also do the same, they can not see that people are some, they all make mistakes, only Moroccans do bad things, but they hide when they talk about Moroccans what some missionaries did, i do not know sometimes if Missionaries do in purpose want insult Moroccan believers or they do not know what they are saying, I wonder how they look at the unity of the believers the Bible teach, it is so hard to find trust between believers from both side.
The Bible is clear about unity and divisions in Church like in 1 Cor1: 10-16, and this a big problem some Missionaries want us follow them submit to them, as they are the true group and when a Moroccan see he does not fit that group they start talking badly about him, the question why we do not agree one another ? is God in 1Cor was making non sense talking about unity or unity is impossible, or we should be united ?
The other problem how believers treat each others, you can hear a lot missionaries here they trust muslim Moroccans more than Christian Moroccans, and they help Muslims more than their brothers and sisters, if a Moroccan need help they ask him to ask Moroccans believers to help him, but if a muslim need help and ask they help him with non questions, they give works to muslims more than to their brothers, and they use an excuse of qualification, when you look to people who work with them, you find they are many belivers are more qualified, if you look to the opportunities of job been given to Moroccans by missionaries most are given to muslims, in purpose to help them change their religion to convert to Christianity, when a Moroccan believer hear this what do you think he will feel ? a lot of missionaries look at us down than them, they are better than us, like the holy Spirit can not teach us but only teach them, we see a lot of their prides the way how they look to themselves and to us, i think because we do not have bible school or Christians university we can not learn, or we can not understand the bible, they forget that Peter was just a fisher man, had no education level, But he preached to thousands of people, they limited the power of the Holy spirit, even they are moroccans that can teach all the world the grace and the love of Christ, because the Holy Spirit work on them, Many of Missionaries they get confuse here how to spread the gospel and how to witness even they say they were trained, they forget to witness need to learn how to let the holy spirit guide you, and they are some Moroccans know this let the holy Spirit guide them, plus you find many Missionaries discourage Moroccans believers more than they encourage them.
the other problem we see many Missionaries here spending years to learn the language and not spreading the gospel, making muslim friends enjoying the beauty of morocco and the sweetens of the food forgetting their mission to spread the gospel, and they are good on giving excuses, you hear them saying it is hard to talk to muslims about Christ, it offend them and they do not want lose their friends, when you find Moroccan belivers losing their families their friends for Christ, but Missionaries they can not lost them, they enjoy their friendship more than they care about their soul, and also some of them how they represent Christianity in western ways, they forget that Christ teach us to obey his commandments and not fail in devil temptations, and the devil use many things like language and cultures, i wish Missionaries do not forget they are here to represent Christ not their nations, we moroccans we can not submit to our culture cause many traditions are against the bible, and we need to learn to live as Christians not as moroccans, and wish Missionaries help us with this, and help us how to be real Christians, faithful and honest to our God, cause now they are many moroccans following missionaries and that tear apart the church here .
I will upgrade when i think of other problems and i wish you share your comments.

Chris, maybe they are just unfamiliar with Moroccan culture. I can't comment on unity and behaving as family among Moroccan Christians. You could start with the fellowship you are attending or you could start your own.

yes christians moroccans suffer a lot of problems including the domination of the leaders or pastors in the churchs and the the expulsion of moroccans believers by the lower reasons , and don't take atention if this believer is new in faith !

the thing who can creat a stumblingblock in his life with jesus christ ..

    the bible said :

    {romans - chapters 14 }

13: Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother's way.

as well as their pursuit to maintain their position and their raetions with foreign organization to guarantee the funding and the desire to access of the authority !

and the other problem that arises frequently is the conflict between the churchs themselves !

here in morocco the leaders of churchs don't have a good relation or communication with another pastors or leaders in other city !!

another problem is the problem of marriage that in many times prevent the marriage of a foreign by moroccan !

and paid him to marry a marrocan woman !

all that for not have the choise to migrate out of the country !

and their are a situations who the pastors prevent moroccan believer to marrying from a morrocan woman !! all that if the pastor of church afraid that this person will think to establish a new church its own separate and this constitutes a threat to their office and " the business relationship " with religious organization to make money from the foreign organization .

The big problem is the weakness of preaching , How can to spread the gospel and me i don't know the people who lives beside my house ?

this is the problem of the leaders and the pastors of churchs in morocco !!

Many problems and what I said is nothing more than part of the truth we pray to God for resolve all this problems ..

Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen

It still seem to me the solution is to start your own fellowship. Remember scriptures tell us to remove ourselves from those who cause problems least it become a snare for us. I don't understand the marriage thing though. I really have no answers.

Living in the area of the US known as the Bible belt, we face many of the same problems in our churches. Those of us who call ourselves Christians make one wonder if we are true believers of THE CHRIST of the Bible or do we serve a god that we have made up in our minds. By our thinking and lifestyles, we are stooped in idolatry as if we make an idol and set it before us/bow down to it. We let mankind dictate what we think/believe/do proving this statement, "your life will follow your thoughts". We have our “form of godliness”, we have our traditions, we have/hold to our religious rituals/beliefs… everything is okay in/for us. Yet if all is well, why are there so many churches… with new ones “popping up” every week? Has the congregation outgrown their facilities because of the masses being saved? This is NOT the case, brethren cannot “dwell together in unity”. We want sports teams, fellowship meals, music programs, worship teams, entertainment/activities to grow our crowds/numbers. If our church does not supply this, we will leave and find one that will or start our own. Is this not shameful that we must be amused with programs/activities and give the preaching/teaching of the WORD of GOD a lower position? The unsaved world is looking on. We forget about the masses of unsaved who need to be reached with the gospel of CHRIST… oh, how this must delight the devil. It is no wonder, why we are unable to get people to come to church to hear the gospel message and even fewer take the gospel out beyond their walls… by action, we wonder if they have anything to share.

Each country has it own culture and traditions to be respected, for sure, but we cannot and/or should not change for anyone-except CHRIST, then it is all HIS changing from within us. HE makes us “new creatures”. We cannot/will NEVER reach an unsaved world by being like them and conforming to their tradition, habits, beliefs, and standards. The Bible says Christians are “peculiar people” and “separate” from the world. The statement, “we are all shaped by our culture” should not be true… we are affected and influenced by it, for sure, but we should never let it overrule GOD’S standards/principles for our lives. The Christian faith of our brothers and sisters in CHRIST living in other countries is so much stronger than our own… they have learned the secret of knowing GOD for who HE is, not just what HE has done or can do. They have learned that HIS WORD is TRUTH-it is reliable, dependable, and trustworthy. Many have learned that when HE is all they have, HE is ALL they need. They believe THE TRUE GOD of the universe. Most of our western culture knows about GOD, but are so far from knowing GOD… there is an eternity of difference between the two, yet by measurement a possible 18-20 inches from the head to the heart.
We must not isolate ourselves from unbelievers nor can we become like them to win a few… we should not limit ourselves or GOD, as to the number we can reach for HIS glory. With CHRIST, living in our hearts and directing our walk, people will see and know the difference CHRIST has made in our lives. As anonymous stated, “the Lord looks at the heart”- Jeremiah wrote, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? (answer) I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.”(17:9-10) Do we, as David did in Psalm 139:23-24, pray this- “Search me, O GOD, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts; And see I there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Would we be fearful of what GOD would find in HIS search? Do we have things hid in areas of our heart that we think will not one day be revealed and have we forgotten GOD already knows and is the final JUDGE? “Man looks at the outward appearance” –it is all we can see/know about others, yet are we not affected in some way? The things that enter our eye-gates and ear gates have great effects upon all areas of our lives and determine our actions/reactions, for good and/or bad.
Our Christian brothers and sisters around the world need our prayer and encouragement. Our missionaries are to represent CHRIST in a loving manner- with CHRIST, having preeminence in their lives (love for HIM and dedication to HIM for service), and love/concern for the need of lost souls... to preach/teach, win souls, disciple those won for spiritual growth, and train them to win others. May GOD help us all to realize our purpose and do GOD’S will to our best ability until we leave this world by death or the Rapture!!!

What the hell is going on with this most stupid missionarries ever,? they just meet with a Moroccan who is looking for opportunities and all of them jumped on him trying to show off and use him for their feedback it doesn't matter if he is a believer or not as long as he is available to meet with anybody of them which make feel good because of the selfconforting but also give to the Moroccan guy too much hope that he will get some thing from them like supporting him to study in the state - those stupid Missionaries- they know whom i am talking about, and the worst ever they are trying to send him to a christian college even if he is not a believer yet, can you believe it? and I wonder if those stupid Missionaries have any dignity because they are stinky people using even God and his Kingdom to do business, all what matter is to give a feedback with a picture of a new person even if they pay him with a visa, wife, study, scholarship or even a business here in our Holy Land that starts to cry tears of blood because of all the chaos those stupid missionaries are making.

We should not call people names, and not all missionaries do this, they are some of them knowing the truth and submit to God, and we should blame also Moroccans who does not focus on their faith and they follow money, we need to be fair and we need to pray about problems and expose all lies, i did not made this blog to insult or attack missionaries, i made so people can be aware of what is going on here and pray for us, and for missionaries to open their eyes, not all missionaries but also moroccans specially who made themselves leaders and they are not gifted or equipped so they control other believers, we need to find solutions for this problems not attacking people.
